Since its founding, the Legal Defense Fund has stood at the intersection of law, justice, and culture — championing Black artists and their right to work, live, and create free from racial barriers. For our 85th anniversary, we are proud to continue this legacy through a special collaboration with acclaimed artist Derek Fordjour, whose work celebrates Black resilience, community, and creative power.
In honor of LDF’s 85th anniversary, Derek Fordjour has created an original limited-edition print titled “Groundspeed,” a dynamic work that captures the spirit of collective action and forward motion that define LDF’s mission.
Collectors and supporters are invited to purchase one of the 35 limited-edition prints of “Groundspeed.” Each sale directly supports LDF’s work to advance racial justice and equal rights.
