Today, the Legal Defense Fund (LDF) announced the appointment of Pamela Giller as Chief Development Officer. Giller, who has two decades of experience in the nonprofit sector, most recently served as Vice President of Development at the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights.
“LDF is excited Pamela Giller will bring her decades of expertise in nonprofit fundraising to our development office at this critical moment for our country and our institution,” said LDF President and Director-Counsel Janai Nelson. “Pamela’s reputation for implementing creative strategies to engage communities and meet development goals precedesher, and we look forward to the engaging ways in which she’ll guide giving at LDF.”
“It is an honor to join the Legal Defense Fund, and to build on the institution’s 85-year history of advancing racial justice and equality,” said LDF Chief Development Officer Pamela Giller. “The work of LDF and our partners has been critical to confronting the threats facing our democracy, and I look forward to ensuring our organization always has the resources necessary to help our country realize a multiracial future where thriving is the standard for all.”
Prior to her work at the Leadership Conference, Giller led national fundraising efforts at Communities in Schools, a leading educational empowerment organization, and Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry campaign, which is focused on bringing an end to the crisis of child hunger. She has also served on the fundraising team at the Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit Food & Friends, and several organizations in the Boston area.
Giller holds a master of public administration degree from George Washington University, and a bachelor’s degree from Brandeis University.
