Allen Liu serves as a Policy Counsel at the Legal Defense Fund. He works on policy efforts to advance racial equity in education and advocacy against the privatization of public education. Allen was also a member of the Justice in Public Safety Project where he worked to hold law enforcement accountable and create a system of public safety wholly reliant on law enforcement.
Prior to joining LDF, Allen served as a law clerk to the Honorable Marisa J. Demeo on the Superior Court of the District of Columbia.
Allen received his J.D. from the American University Washington College of Law and a B.A. in Political Science and Social Sciences Interdisciplinary with Distinction from the State of New York University at Buffalo.
Allen is a member of the District of Columbia Bar and Texas Bar.
