The parties have reached a settlement agreement in Davis, et al. v. City of New York, et al., a federal, class action lawsuit that challenges the New York City Police Department’s (NYPD) policy and practices of unlawful stops and arrests of public housing residents and their visitors for criminal trespass without sufficient evidence and due to their race and/or ethnicity.
