In an editorial, the New York Times highlighted the racism and injustice that permeate the death sentence of LDF client Duane Buck. Mr. Buck was sentence to death in a proceeding in which the jury was told he was dangerous because he was black. LDF represents Mr. Buck in his effort to obtain a fair sentencing hearing that is not infected by racism.
