LDF Director of Economic Justice ReNika Moore testified before the New York City Council’s Committee on Civil Rights in support of the “Stop Credit Discrimination in Employment Act,” which if passed would prohibit employment credit checks. Ms. Moore’s testimony focused on the disproportionate disadvantage employment credit checks have on African American jobseekers.
