In an op-ed on AL.com, LDF’s Fried Frank Fellow Deuel Ross argues Alabama Governor Robert Bentley’s view on voter ID laws does not fit the facts:

In January, after watching the film “Selma,” Gov. Robert Bentley was asked whether Alabama’s new voter ID laws serve as modern-day parallels to the state’s old registration laws. Bentley answered no, explaining that voter ID laws are meant to “make sure no one uses your right to go vote under your name.” 

Unfortunately for thousands of registered voters in Alabama, he’s wrong.
