Sherrilyn Ifill, LDF’s President and Director-Counsel, is participating in today’s session in a series of presidential candidate briefings, sponsored by the National Urban League, being held this week. The briefings will cover voting rights, urban poverty, unemployment, and educational inequity, among other topics.

Along with Ifill, leaders of historic civil rights organizations participating in the series include: Cornell Brooks, President and CEO, NAACP; Melanie Campbell, President and CEO, National Coalition on Black Civic Participation; The Rev. Al Sharpton, Founder and President, National Action Network; Kristen Clarke, President and Executive Director, Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law; Wade Henderson, President and CEO, Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights; and Benjamin L. Crump, President, National Bar Association.
