LDF Welcomes Samantha Erskine as Senior Director of Development

Samantha Erskine joins the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund (LDF) in its New York office as Senior Director of Development.

Samantha’s expertise includes managing a large portfolio of cross-sector corporate and foundation partnerships, executing successful fundraising events, writing compelling fundraising communications, and cultivating and stewarding individual donors.

Prior to LDF, Samantha worked at the Council of Urban Professionals, the National Latina Institute for Reproductive Health, the Applied Research Center, and Legal Momentum. 

Samantha holds a M.S. in Nonprofit Management from The New School for Public Engagement (Milano); a M.A. in Women’s History from Sarah Lawrence College; and two B.A. degrees, in Psychology and Women’s Studies, from the University of Maryland, College Park.

“Samantha will play a central role in securing the necessary resources to continue our work and expand efforts in critical areas of the national policy landscape,” said Sherrilyn Ifill, President and Director-Counsel of LDF. “We welcome her to the LDF family.”
