Legal Defense Fund (LDF) Associate Director-Counsel Todd A. Cox issued the following statement in response to the terror attack yesterday in Boulder targeted against members of the Jewish community.
“We are heartbroken, outraged, and shaken by yesterday’s horrific attack in Boulder, where eight people – including a Holocaust survivor – were injured during a peaceful gathering calling for the release of Israeli hostages. This act of violence is a stark reminder of the escalating antisemitism plaguing our nation.
“Hate and bigotry have no place in our society. The targeting of Jewish communities is both reprehensible and unacceptable. We must all unite to confront and eradicate hatred in all its forms and to call for an end to this cycle of violence.
“To the Jewish community: you are not alone. We will continue fighting shoulder to shoulder with you for a society where all people can live freely and peacefully, without fear that they will be violently targeted because of who they worship, who they love, or how they look. Together, we will overcome hatred with courage, unity, and unshakeable moral clarity.”
