On Free Speech Radio News, LDF attorney Leah Aden commented on the Alabama redistricting case pending before the Supreme Court, noting that Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act did not require Alabama to maintain exact percentages of Black voters in legislative districts to preserve Black voters’ ability to elect their preferred candidates of choice. 

Aden also contributed to the amicus brief that LDF filed in support of plaintiffs-appellants, individual African Americans, African-American state and county elected officials, and the Alabama Democratic Conference (ADC), an African-American political action committee:
