WASHINGTON – The NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, Inc., The Leadership Conference Education Fund, The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, Communities Against Hate, and 83 other civil rights organizations today launched full-page advertisements in The New York Times and the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette in solidarity with victims of recent acts of hate and bigotry in our country.

The ad, designed by artist Celeste Jacobs, depicts elements of Pittsburgh, Pa., the location of the recent anti-Semitic mass shooting at the Tree of Life synagogue, and Louisville, Ky., where a white supremacist murdered two African Americans at a Kroger supermarket when the gunman was unable to enter a predominantly Black church.

Celeste Jacobs is a Jewish-American graphic designer and illustrator whose work makes complicated elements accessible and inspiring. Celeste explores narratives, folklore and relationships with one another in her work.

The groups condemn all acts of hate and urge all victims and witnesses of hate to document their incidents at communitiesagainsthate.org or by calling 1-844-9-NO-HATE.

The ad can be viewed here. For more information, visit loveilluminates.org
