In March of 2020, Breonna Taylor was killed in her home by four Louisville Metro police officers. Six months later, Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron announced that the officers would not be indicted on any charges related to her death. The only charges filed were for wanton endangerment for shooting into a neighboring apartment. This is a grave injustice. Breonna Taylor deserved better.

We are calling on Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron’s office to appoint a special prosecutor who will re-submit Breonna Taylor’s case to a new grand jury, present all evidence and applicable charges, fully explain the application of principles of self-defense, allow the grand jury to pursue additional charges beyond the prosecutors’ recommendation where the grand jury deems it appropriate, and make public the process by which the grand jury will deliberate.

I’m a concerned citizen from [STATE] and I am calling because to this day, no one has been held accountable for Breonna Taylor’s death. Attorney General Cameron’s grand jury presentation was flawed, and favored law enforcement.
Breonna deserves justice. When will your office appoint a special prosecutor to re-submit her case to a new grand jury and present all additional evidence and applicable charges?
Breonna Taylor deserved better. It’s clear that the grand jury proceedings were flawed. The Attorney General’s office presented a biased view that favored law enforcement. This is not justice. Attorney General Daniel Cameron needs to assign a Special Prosecutor to call a new grand jury, so that there can finally be #JusticeForBreonnaTaylor.
