Ryan Tom

Ryan Tom is a Research and Operations Associate for the NAACP LDF’s Thurgood Marshall Institute. Prior to joining LDF, he served as a Paralegal for the Federal Defenders of New York. While there, he supported assistant federal public defenders representing indigent clients in the Southern District of New York. During his undergraduate studies, he researched 18th century justice reform through the Luther Rice Undergraduate Research Fellowship and held various internships with the Public Defender Service of the District of Columbia, the National Association of Counties, Human Rights Watch, and the American Bar Association. Ryan holds a MSc in Criminal Justice Policy from the London School of Economics and a BA in Criminal Justice from George Washington University.
