Kerrel Murray is the Appellate Litigation and Policy Fellow at the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund. Kerrel is a graduate of Stanford Law School (with pro bono distinction), where he was a member of the Stanford Law Review, and a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Georgia.
Before joining LDF, Kerrel worked at Covington & Burling, LLP, where he maintained a robust pro bono portfolio that included involvement in a landmark stop-and-frisk lawsuit brought, and settled successfully, against the city of Milwaukee. Before Covington, Kerrel clerked on the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit and the United States District Court for the District of Columbia. He is a member of the Virginia and District of Columbia Bars.
