Evans Moore

Evans Moore serves as a Voting Rights Trainer for the Prepared to Vote and Voting Rights Defender Projects.  Before coming on board with LDF, he served as the PA Regional Organizer in Pittsburgh for FAMM. While there, he helped the loved ones of incarcerated individuals leverage their power for criminal justice reforms. Evans brings over 20 years of experience in grassroots community organizing and training to LDF. As the founding Executive Director of the Pittsburgh Interfaith Impact Network, he led the organization to win major social justice campaigns. Among those victories was six-hundred million dollars in dedicated funding for Pennsylvania mass transit and a nineteen million dollar mixed income housing development for residents of Pittsburgh’s historic Hill-District. He was Obama for America’s Regional Director of Faith Outreach in South West Pennsylvania. In that role, he led the campaign in developing strategies to actively involve communities of faith in the 2008 general election.

Mr. Moore is a classically trained community organizer and grassroots trainer. He is currently pursuing a degree in Ethnic Studies and Diversity at the Community College of Allegheny County.
