Daniel Harawa

Daniel Harawa is the Assistant Professor of Practice, Director of the Appellate Clinic at the Washington University in St. Louis School of Law, where he is based. He works with LDF in an of counsel capacity.

Daniel previously worked at LDF as Assistant Counsel, and as a Staff Attorney at the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia (PDS). There, Daniel successfully represented indigent defendants charged with serious crimes before the D.C. Court of Appeals and D.C. Superior Court.

Daniel is an honors graduate of both Georgetown University Law Center, where he was an Executive Editor of the Georgetown Journal of Legal Ethics, and the University of Richmond, where he was an Oliver Hill Scholar. After graduating law school, Daniel clerked for the Honorable Roger L. Gregory of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. In 2016, Daniel was named to Forbes Magazine’s “30 Under 30” list for Law and Policy.
