Dear Visitors,
The NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, Inc. (LDF) is proud to launch our new and improved website this summer. Our fresh layout makes it easier for you to navigate the site, read about LDF’s history and latest achievements, and keep up with new developments. As our nation’s first civil rights law firm, LDF’s mission has always been transformative: to achieve racial justice, equality and an inclusive democracy. It is our hope that this new website serves as both an educational and advocacy tool to help us advance our mission.
We’ve introduced a Case and Issue Search feature, which allows you to find specific cases or issues of interest. Also new to the site are the “Case Spotlight” and “Featured Story” pages highlighting some of LDF’s most significant cases. Revisiting LDF’s most monumental, precedent-setting court decisions is also a click away on our “Landmark Cases” page.
We’re happy to bring you more ways to get involved with LDF than ever before. Signing up for our email blasts is a click away, as is finding our about upcoming LDF events. Making a donation to LDF has been simplified as well-make sure to visit our “Support Us” page to learn about the various ways you can contribute.
No time to check back with us frequently? Subscribe to our RSS Feed and follow LDF on Twitter or Facebook and let us bring the updates to you.
A generous bequest from Edith Adler, a longtime friend of LDF, made it possible for LDF to create a timeline documenting our accomplishments. We are currently making additions to the timeline and look forward to relaunching it on our new site soon.
These are just some of the exciting new features on our new website. Thank you for taking the time to explore our new home. We hope it will be one of many visits you make to learn more about LDF’s work. We encourage you to check out our new space, new features, and new advancements.
While our look has changed, our mission hasn’t. As always, LDF remains committed to striving for racial equality in the areas of criminal justice, education, economic justice, and political participation. LDF continues its pursuit of racial justice through moving our nation toward a society that fulfills the promise of equality for all Americans.
Sincerely,
John Payton
