La Tanya R. Harry joined the NAACP Legal Defense & Educational Fund, Inc. ("LDF") in 2011 and was recently appointed Paralegal Manager/Managing Attorney in October 2013.
Prior to joining LDF, Ms. Harry served as an Assistant Research Analyst with the New Jersey State Legislature's Office of Legislative Services, where she drafted legislation for Members of the New Jersey State legislature. Ms. Harry also served as a Legislative Correspondent/Junior Legislative Assistant to Senator Charles E. Schumer of New York, where she worked on housing and banking issues. After graduating from law school, Ms. Harry served as Judicial Clerk to (Retired) Justice John E. Wallace, Jr. of the New Jersey Supreme Court.
Ms. Harry received her J.D. from Rutgers-Newark School of Law, a Master of City and Regional Planning in Urban Planning from the Edward J. Bloustein School for Urban Planning and Public Policy, and a Bachelors Degree in Political Science and Afro-Caribbean Studies from Dartmouth College.
