On February 27, 2013, the United State Supreme Court will hear oral arguments in Shelby County, Alabama v. Holder [2], one of the most important voting rights cases of our generation.
In the case, Shelby County seeks to tear our the heart of the Voting Rights Act, widely regarded as the greatest piece of civil rights legislation ever passed.
