Today, at the invitation of the New York City Police Department (NYPD), the Policing Project at New York University School of Law has launched a website, www.nypdbodycameras.org, which contains a brief questionnaire to gather public feedback on the NYPD’s proposed body-worn camera policy. Individuals and organizations may provide additional feedback through a comment portal.
Why Voter Turnout Is So Low in New York's Primaries
Janai Nelson, the [Associate Director-Counsel] of the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, said holding federal and state primaries on different days and having closed primary elections are among the factors that contribute to low voter turnout in New York.
But she's also optimistic there's a solution.
