The ability of African Americans and other minorities to elect candidates of their choice results in better educational opportunities, better employment opportunities, better housing opportunities, and an overall better quality of life for them. To move people closer to realizing these opportunities, LDF's voter protection program litigates cases that will ensure enforcement of federal and state laws protecting the rights of African-American and other minorities to vote.
