Protecting Minority Voting Rights & Moving Closer to Political Equality
This program will serve as the premier training opportunity for the lawyers, advocates, academics and others who will be involved in the redistricting efforts that will follow the release of the 2010 Census. Panelists will provide training on the role of the Voting Rights Act in redistricting, the importance of recognizing diversity in the context of redistricting and strategies for safeguarding minority voting rights.
