LDF, along with the NAACP State Conference of South Carolina and the National NAACP, will lead an important training on June 11, 2011 in Columbia, South Carolina to help prepare community leaders and advocates for the upcoming 2011 redistricting cycle. The training will focus on the central role of the Voting Rights Act during redistricting, provide capacity-building support for existing redistricting-related efforts and outline advocacy strategies to help empower African-American communities to play a central role in the redrawing of district boundaries in their communities.
