The NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, Inc. (LDF) celebrates its 70th anniversary with an event designed to inform and inspire.
It is our pleasure to invite you to join us on Thursday, April 28, 2011 for a 70th anniversary reception and discussion: Education: The Civil Rights Issue of the 21st Century at the Schomberg Center for Research in Black Culture, 515 Lenox Avenue at 135th Street in New York City.
LDF Board Co-Chair Tonya Lewis Lee will serve as the moderator for this timely discussion. John Payton will be joined by former Directors Jack Greenberg and Elaine Jones, and two of our brilliant attorneys from LDF's Education practice area - Damon Hewitt, the Director of the Education team, and Dr. Leticia Smith Evans, Assistant Counsel.
