Daniel Harawa

Assistant Counsel

Daniel Harawa joined LDF in 2017 as Assistant Counsel.

Before joining LDF, Daniel was a Staff Attorney at the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia (PDS). There, Daniel successfully represented indigent defendants charged with serious crimes before the D.C. Court of Appeals and D.C. Superior Court. Before PDS, Daniel was a litigation associate at Covington & Burling LLP, where he worked on complex commercial and civil rights litigation.

Daniel is an honors graduate of both Georgetown University Law Center, where he was an Executive Editor of the Georgetown Journal of Legal Ethics, and the University of Richmond, where he was an Oliver Hill Scholar. After graduating law school, Daniel clerked for the Honorable Roger L. Gregory of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. In 2016, Daniel was named to Forbes Magazine’s “30 Under 30” list for Law and Policy.
